Nothing Plans More Than Six Smartphone Releases in 2027
After three phone releases in 2026, Nothing says it plans more than twice as many next year, with community members invited to preview upcoming devices.

Nothing is planning a much busier year for phones: its India co-founder and president, Akis Evangelidis, says the company expects to release more than twice as many smartphones in 2027 as it did in 2026. That points to at least seven launches if the comparison is with this year’s three models, though Nothing has shared no names or release dates for the coming devices.
The scale of that plan matters because Nothing had already signaled a restrained approach to its lineup. Founder and CEO Carl Pei said the company would not introduce a flagship in 2026, citing rising component costs, particularly for RAM and storage. The company instead released the Phone (4a), Phone (4a) Pro and lower-priced Phone (4b). Its next lineup could therefore mark a shift in how many devices Nothing brings to market, even though the product mix is still unknown.
More launches, but no details on the lineup
Evangelidis shared the 2027 target in a post on X on October 30, 2026, while introducing Nothing’s Co-Creation Program in India. He wrote: “Excited for next year - we will double down with more than twice the number of smartphone launches. And even more excited to give our community members a sneak peek and get their thoughts and feedback early on. It's great that we have started this new Co-creation Program. Which city next?”
Nothing released three phones in 2026, so “more than twice” suggests at least seven smartphones next year if the company is comparing like for like. That is an arithmetic implication of Evangelidis’s wording, not a confirmed device count. Nothing has not said whether the plan covers phones under the Nothing name alone or also includes its CMF brand, which has not released a new phone this year.
Nor has the company said whether the larger slate will include a flagship, how the phones will be divided across price ranges, or when buyers can expect them. Those details will determine what the higher launch count means in practice. A bigger catalog could give buyers more choices, but the number of releases alone says little about how different the phones will be or which markets will get them.
Community previews are part of the plan
The Co-Creation Program is set to take place at Nothing’s India headquarters in Delhi. Selected community members will be able to try devices planned for 2027 and share feedback with the company before release. Nothing says places for the event are limited; interested participants can apply through the Nothing Community Website.
That gives the program a role beyond simply previewing products. Early feedback may help Nothing hear how potential buyers respond to devices before they reach stores, though the company hasn’t said what input it will seek or how it might affect final designs. The invitation is also limited to selected participants, so the event won’t give every customer a chance to handle the upcoming phones.
Evangelidis’s closing question, “Which city next?”, suggests the company is considering where to hold another session, but he did not name a location or give a schedule. For now, Delhi is the only confirmed setting in the source information, and no further event details are available.
What buyers should watch for
The 2027 target comes after a year in which Nothing skipped a flagship and introduced three phones, including the budget-focused Phone (4b). The company has linked its decision to hold back a flagship to component costs, while the source also points to chip supply pressures affecting Nothing and CMF. That context makes the larger launch plan notable, but it doesn’t establish that those pressures have eased or explain how Nothing expects to support more releases.
For buyers, the useful next information will be the phones’ names, prices, specifications, release timing and regional availability. None has been provided for 2027. Until Nothing fills in those gaps, the clearest takeaway is the ambition to release a substantially larger number of smartphones and involve some community members earlier in the process. Whether that produces more meaningful choices will depend on what the company actually unveils.
